Council discussion addressed whether both a new combined station/admin building or an addition to the existing city‑hall building would be pursued; staff said design‑build discussions with the selected team will include those alternatives and that the team will help refine the best path within the GMP framework.
A motion to authorize contract negotiations with the recommended team and proceed under the GMP framework passed unanimously (motion mover recorded as Councilor Dodi; second by Councilor Stoddick). Staff reported the other finalists were qualified and praised the competitive procurement process.
