Rob Smith, president of the Woodside at Holton Run Association, told council the neighborhood is experiencing low water pressure; he said the developer installed pumps in some homes but residents continue to experience minimal flow.
Mr. Smith said the developer'after surveying private lines'found no defects in the new community's on-site water mains, and he said some homes still have only a "pencil" of water flow at kitchen sinks. Mr. Smith asked council to intervene and help secure a resolution.
Cindy (public-service staff) told council the public-service department had asked the City of Columbus to test pressures at the public main and that those tests showed higher pressure at the public main than was present inside the private water system of the condominium association. Staff said they had been contacting the builder to locate the source of the pressure drop and that additional testing had been performed; Cindy offered to exchange contact information with the association president and follow up outside the meeting.
Council did not take formal action; staff committed to follow up with the association and the developer.
