Items read by title included an ordinance appropriating $20,000 from unappropriated reserves in the general fund to the quorum court budget for 2025 and an ordinance appropriating $500,000 from unappropriated reserves in the general fund to the emergency operations center (EOC) construction project fund budget for 2025. On a separate new-business motion, the court voted to send Ordinance 2023-26 (the earlier repeal denying a CUP for Eagle Crest Recovery) back to the planning board for a public hearing scheduled for May 1 and then to return to the quorum court for reconsideration. County Attorney Lester explained the step was taken to follow a circuit court finding that prior action had lacked a required planning-board public hearing; JP Ecki moved to send the matter back to the planning board and JP Rio Stafford seconded.
