Madison animal shelter to apply for SPCA grant; finalists to be notified in December

Finalists will be notified about Dec. 1 and grant recipients on about Dec. 31. Annette also reported the shelter’s recent fundraising and donations, progress on kennel painting quotes, and plans to purchase a doggy clubhouse for the play yard.
Annette said current shelter census at the time of the meeting was four dogs and five cats. She thanked volunteers and local businesses for fundraising support and said staff are working on a committee meeting for shelter topics and on assembling quotes for interior painting.
