Planner Sarah Stringham presented the item and noted that the city had not yet received final funding notices from HUD; council members approved the resolution to meet HUD submittal deadlines and to allow programs to proceed once grant amounts are confirmed.
During the public-comment portion of the meeting Brandon Vail, representing South Valley Services, thanked the council for the recommended allocation to his domestic-violence shelter and described last year’s service statistics, including more than 520 emergency shelter placements and thousands of client contacts. The council then moved to adopt the resolution; the measure passed 7–0.
Action: Resolution 205-24C was approved (roll-call vote 7–0). The adopted annual action plan will guide Sandy’s CDBG-funded projects for 2025, pending HUD’s final award numbers.
