Baxter Curran’s leaders outlined recurring activities including painting classes, “Far” (a dice game) on Wednesday evenings, line dancing, pool tournaments and walks. Two multi-day trips were promoted: a seven-day Mount Rushmore trip (priced at $839 per person, double occupancy) and an 11-day Mackinac Island trip later in the year (priced at $1,515). Organizers said sign-up deadlines are approaching for Mount Rushmore.
The center is also planning a June murder-mystery dinner (ticketed, $15 per plate) and other social fundraising events. Leaders described the programming as a mix of volunteer-run and staff-supported activities and asked committee members to help promote trips and events; no formal action was taken by the committee.
