The appointment was approved by roll call vote after commissioners asked Donaldson to introduce himself at the podium. Donaldson gave his address as 3700 South Ocean Boulevard and described prior service on local boards. Commissioners praised his past volunteer roles and expressed support for his nomination.
The resolution was moved and seconded and then approved unanimously. Commissioners voting “yes” were Commissioner Goldberg, Vice Mayor Stern, Commissioner Janovsky, Commissioner Peters and Mayor Natasha Moore.
Donaldson thanked the commission. No additional conditions or staggered term details were announced at the meeting.
The commission moved on to the remainder of its agenda after the vote.
