Staff said packets with instructions are available at woodruff.gov, and the town issues a zoning clearance letter for qualifying smaller structures. Town staff recommended property owners with larger structures contact the county building inspector in Layton, Tyler Sheemans, for permit review.
Staff advised that temporary structures without footings or foundations are typically excluded from the county building-permit requirement, but noted final determinations depend on whether the structure is anchored or has a concrete footing. The meeting record shows staff will meet with applicants as needed and keep copies of zoning-clearance letters on file.
Planning and zoning staff also said the town will mail or include the zoning-clearance packet with water bills to reach residents, and that the town's $10 clearance fee applies to the letter processing.
