Hammond Redevelopment Commission approves multiple property sales, RFP acceptances and purchase agreements

The Hammond City Redevelopment Commission on Sept. 16 approved a series of routine but consequential redevelopment actions, moving multiple parcels and projects forward across the city.
Staff reported that the Redevelopment Department had opened bids and requests for proposals for residential and commercial parcels including the final three Clark Field parcels; staff said the Clark Field RFP was published in the New York Times and that bids are due Oct. 7 with openings scheduled for the commission's Oct. 7 meeting. "This is another great step the commission is taking for new homes and new development in Hammond," staff member Anne Taylor told the commission.
Key approvals and outcomes the commission voted on at the meeting included:
- Approval of the August meeting minutes (motion passed by roll call, 5-0).
