County staff summarized the agreement and told the board the arrangement mirrors a recent similar agreement the county entered into with the city of Princeton. Commissioners asked Toyota representatives present if they had questions; Toyota's representatives confirmed the company's understanding of the arrangement.
The board voted to approve the agreement. Meeting comments noted the $1.9 million would be advanced by Toyota and could be repaid from newly generated TIF revenue if the county establishes a TIF district around the Toyota site; the county would have no independent repayment obligation absent that TIF revenue. The motion carried with ayes recorded; no roll-call tally was given in the meeting record.
