ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners voted Sept. 16 to award the construction contract for a vehicle storage building at the Alexander Satellite Garage to TRG Services for a base bid plus alternate 2 totaling $3,736,729.11.
Skye Metters, director of Infrastructure Planning & Growth, said the project is the final phase of work at the satellite garage and that the county received 10 bids. The county’s consultant, DLZ, reviewed the bids and recommended the low bidder. Metters said the successful bid came in below the engineer’s estimate.
Alternate 2 adds a vehicle prep area with space for additional vehicles to be staged for maintenance or repair, Metters said. The board approved the motion by voice vote with three commissioners recorded as voting aye.
The county will execute the contract with TRG Services and issue notices to proceed after contract documents are finalized.
