ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine administrative and contracting items during its Tuesday, Sept. 16 meeting, including payroll and accounts payable, three budget ordinances passed by the county council, a 2026 holiday schedule and multiple professional services agreements.
The board voted unanimously on a set of mostly noncontroversial items that county staff said are necessary to administer county operations and advance capital projects. Commissioners approved three budget ordinances that were passed 9–0 by the county council and a holiday schedule for 2026 that includes 15 holidays and noted adjustments for the election year.
The board also approved appointments and professional-service agreements: Raphael Morton was appointed to represent the county on the Northwest Indiana Professional Sports Development Commission; the county awarded a construction contract for the Alexander Satellite Garage…
