Council confirms two mayoral appointments to Board of Adjustment and Parks & Recreation Commission

Moscow City Council confirmed two mayoral appointments at the Sept. 2 meeting.
Mayor announced the appointments of Laura Weldon to the Board of Adjustment for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2029, and Emily Clarkwist to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025. Council moved and seconded the appointment motion and voted to confirm both nominees.
Laura Weldon introduced herself at the podium and said she is “excited for this opportunity to be able to serve the community on the Board of Adjustment,” adding she is familiar with the comprehensive plan and looks forward to contributing as the city grows. Emily Clarkwist thanked the council for the appointment and said she has been a Moscow resident for five years and looks forward to serving on Parks and Recreation.
Both appointees were welcomed by the council and asked to participate in upcoming commission work.
