On Aug. 5 the Norwood Zoning Board of Appeals voted to lift the suspension on a previously approved special permit for 92 Union Street (Case 23‑15) and to accept as‑built architectural plans stamped 06/06/2025 by architect Robert Burwin.
General contractor Andrew Cleggorn said the property did not follow the originally approved plans under the prior contractor, and that the building commissioner required corrections. Cleggorn said he worked with the building inspector to bring the project into compliance and submitted stamped as‑built drawings. Board staff confirmed receipt of the plans and building‑inspector sign‑offs for the corrected work.
Board members said the outstanding issues raised by the building inspector had been addressed, including interior work and building systems; the building commissioner confirmed that electrical, plumbing and other trades had been completed to his satisfaction. The board voted to remove the suspension and to modify the special permit to reflect the as‑built, stamped plans by architect Robert Burwin (dated 06/06/2025). The motion to lift the suspension and modify the permit was moved and seconded (recorded in meeting); the vote was unanimous.
The action permits the applicant to proceed toward a certificate of occupancy; the as‑built plans will be placed on file with the building inspector as the record for the modified special permit.
