The Mills Planning and Zoning Commission on a voice vote approved a final plat to re-subdivide Lots 14 and 15, Block 12, in the original Town of Mills plat, combining the two parcels into a single 1.25-acre lot at 410 Wasatch Avenue.
Megan, planning staff, told the commission the application (case number 25O9FSP) was a lot combine to facilitate construction of a new accessory shop and to remove the lot line so the development would comply with zoning setbacks. Staff recommended approval with minor changes including added utility easements, survey corrections and adjusted language in the dedication statement.
No members of the public spoke on the application. A commissioner moved to approve the final plat with the comments from planning; a second was given and the commission voted “aye” to approve. The transcript does not record individual vote tallies by name.
The applicant listed on the application is Eric Rice; the agent on the filing was Steven Cowley with Heights Surveying. Staff noted the applicant was not in the audience the night of the hearing and offered to answer questions if needed.
The commission’s approval includes the planning comments referenced by staff; the record does not show additional conditions beyond the cosmetic and easement changes listed by staff.
