Trustee Jess, who raised the item during trustee comments, said the CEO program allows communities to apply for policy support and separate project funding and that the first round required a June 16–August 1 letter of intent. Jess noted housing-related policy proposals — especially ADU (accessory dwelling unit) and PUD (planned unit development) changes — and a town water-meter upgrade project as possible fits for the program. "All you have to do is put in a letter of intent before August 1," Jess said, adding that the grant "is a pretty significant amount of money."
