Evansville utility board approves lease amendment to swap office suites for utility tenant

Logan, a staff member who presented the amendment, said the change substitutes Suite 308 for Suite 405 from the original agreement so that the tenant would have two suites on the same floor rather than be split between the third and fourth floors. "This substitution was made to give BWSU 2 suites on the same floor rather than splitting between the third and fourth of the board," Logan said. He told the board the substitution became available after the original lease was entered and that the amendment reflects the square-footage change and associated rent adjustments.
A board member asked a colloquial question about shopping for a better room; no further substantive concerns were raised. The board moved and seconded approval of Amendment No. 1 and voted aye by voice; the chair recorded the motion as carried.
The amendment authorizes staff to finalize the suite substitution and implement the adjusted rent schedule. The meeting record does not specify the adjusted rent amounts, the lease term changes (if any), or the full legal description of the leased premises.
