Hamilton County Regional Utility District approves routine business; nonreverting fund not introduced

Hamilton County Regional Utility District members approved routine agenda items at their Monday meeting and discussed, but did not vote on, a proposal to create a nonreverting fund for the district’s annual operations budget.

Board members voted by voice to approve the executive-session memorandum, the July 14, 2025 meeting minutes and the list of claims included in the meeting packet. Each item was moved and seconded; the board chair called for the ayes and the chair declared the motions carried.

The board discussed a motion to “create non reverting fund for annual operation budget,” moved by a board member identified in the transcript as Mister Adderney. Staff told the board there was not yet a draft ordinance or resolution to introduce: “So we don't have a draft to even introduce at this meeting,” the respondent said, and the board did not take a vote on the proposal. During later remarks members suggested the measure could be presented as a first reading at a future meeting once the auditor and staff had prepared the necessary language.

The meeting concluded with a reminder that the next board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 8, 2025, and a motion to adjourn was approved by voice vote.
