Votes at a glance: Blythewood council approves amended agenda, minutes and moves to executive session

The Blythewood Town Council recorded the following formal actions during its Aug. 25 meeting:

- The council approved the agenda as amended (motion to amend to move executive session earlier and to note an awareness month). Motion made from the dais and seconded; the chair called for ayes and the motion passed.

- The council approved the minutes of the July 28 regular meeting. Motion to approve was made by Councilwoman Page and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Brock; the motion passed on a voice vote.

- The council moved into executive session under the South Carolina Code provision cited in the meeting as “South Carolina code 30 dash 4 dash 71” to discuss personnel matters regarding Manor operations. The motion was made and seconded and the council voted to enter executive session. The council reconvened in open session at 6:46 p.m. The council chair asked whether there were any motions or recommendations for vote following executive session; none were offered.

Times and procedural notes: The council recessed to executive session during the meeting and returned to open session later the same evening. No formal votes or recommendations resulting from the executive session were reported in the open session minutes or on the record at reconvening.
