Interim Town Administrator Mr. Driggers presented preliminary financial information for July at the Aug. 25 Blythewood Town Council meeting. He said July revenues totaled $375,000.83 and expenditures were $277,344, leaving a net position of $97,007.39 at the start of the new fiscal year. Driggers said council will receive a fuller narrative with the new report format to explain month and year‑to‑date columns.
Driggers also told council the town had not yet received certified results from a recent referendum from the elections office; he said the certified numbers must be included in the town’s official record and minutes once received. He said he expected the certified results before the next meeting.
Mr. Driggers said candidate filing has closed for the Nov. general election; two town council seats will be on the ballot. No additional action was taken by council on the financial reports at the Aug. 25 meeting.
