Items 2 through 5 and item 9 (matters for which public hearings had been held) were approved on a single roll call (12 ayes). Items 11 and 12 (matters without public hearings) were also approved after no public speakers.
The mayor’s appointment of Renee Santiago to the Affordable Housing Commission (item 10) was confirmed after Councilmember Pacheco introduced the appointee and recommended approval; the clerk announced her confirmation.
Several items were continued: item 8 was continued to June 30 at the request of Councilmember Holden; item 13 was continued to July 18; item 17 was continued until Tuesday, June 20. Item 6 was shifted on the record to be continued to the Tuesday meeting as requested by a council member.
Two continuation items called special (15 and 16) were later taken up separately; item 15 was discussed in detail and acted on with amendments (see separate article). Item 16 was initially approved but the council later reconsidered it for correction of the ordinance on file and continued it until Tuesday.
Additional motions recorded included a staff finding on an urgent matter related to AB260 and Exposition Park (findings approved 12 ayes), and routine requests to excuse council members from upcoming meetings, all approved without objection.
