Rick Lee, Carson City Airport operations and maintenance, said the changes “better define what equipment is used on what areas of the airport and in what sequence.” He told the authority the revisions align the plan’s language with the airport’s plowing priority maps and reflect input from fixed-base operators and airport users.
The updates were described as aimed at making the plan easier to follow and ensuring that the written procedures match the priority map used during events. A motion to approve the update was made and seconded; members voted in favor and the motion passed.
The authority did not receive public comment on the item during the hearing. The revised plan will guide the airport’s pre-season and post-season snow operations going forward.
