Jensen was not present; a staff member described the request as consistent with recent parcel consolidations and stated the property has adequate area for the proposed split. No public opposition spoke at the hearing. A commissioner moved a positive recommendation, the motion was seconded, and the commission approved by voice vote. The item will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors.
REZ 939-25 — Clyde and Paula England (commercial manufacturing to match current use)
The commission also recommended approval of REZ 939-25, requested by Clyde and Paula England to rezone a contiguous 5-acre parcel to commercial manufacturing to reflect the existing England & Sons welding and trailer sales operation at 4661 South U.S. Highway 191. Staff described the rezoning as “cleanup” to align zoning with long-standing commercial use; commissioners noted surrounding parcels are already zoned commercially. A favorable motion was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
