Cumberland County adopts $2.39 million reappropriation for technical education center expansion

The reappropriation, listed on the agenda as Ordinance 20 55-4, was read by title only, opened for public comment (none was offered), and adopted on final reading by roll call. Commissioners voting “yes” were Commissioner Albright, Commissioner O’Mara, Commissioner Loeb, Commissioner Taylor, Deputy Director Marchand and Director Song.
County staff said the ordinance repurposes proceeds of obligations that had not been used for their original purpose and makes them available for the technical education center expansion. The clerk read a statement included in the record that the summary of the ordinance had been published and that a 20‑day period of limitation for legal challenges runs from the date of first publication. The full ordinance is available at no cost during regular business hours at the county clerk’s office, the clerk noted.
The board opened the measure for public comment and, seeing none, closed public comment before taking the final vote. No amendments or recorded roll-call “no” votes on the ordinance were recorded in the meeting minutes provided.
