DRC recommends approvals for Amelia Island substation and multiple Wildlife Parcel phases; school concurrency noted as pending

The Development Review Committee recommended several site plans — including the Amelia Island Substation and four Wildlife Parcel phases — to department heads on Aug. 19, while noting school‑concurrency and BOCC approvals were still pending for some parcels.
At the Aug. 19 meeting the Nassau County Development Review Committee reviewed a set of projects submitted for departmental approval and recommended them to department heads.
Tab D (SP24‑037) — Amelia Island Substation (FPU): No department comments were recorded during the DRC review and the project was included in the set forwarded to department heads for approval.
Tabs E–H (wildlife parcels): Kayla Perce of Development Services said the Wildlife Parcel projects (SP25‑015, SP25‑021, SP25‑026 and SP25‑025) are recommended for approval by county departments at this stage. Perce noted the projects have school‑concurrency approval from the School Board but that final approval by the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) was still pending; the applicants were proceeding “at risk” pending BOCC action.
No additional department objections were recorded. Planning, health, building and fire staff indicated no further comments for the approvals at the DRC level. The committee chair closed the approvals portion of the agenda and concluded the meeting.
