South Magnolia construction blamed for lost customers at station near train depot

Dylan said staff recognize the street closure is an eyesore and an impediment to local businesses and that the city will try to obtain more information for affected merchants.
Mirabe told the council she felt her business had been “ghosted” by Metro and had not received adequate communication about timelines or mitigation. Council members did not take action at the meeting; the remarks were part of the public-comment period and staff reports noted that the city manager will follow up with additional information to the speaker.
The council held no public hearing or vote tied to the South Magnolia construction during the Aug. 5 meeting; any changes to construction sequencing or mitigation would depend on the contractor and utility coordination and follow-up from city staff.
