Larimer County commissioners refer 0.15% transportation sales tax to November ballot

The Larimer County Board of County Commissioners voted 3-0 on Aug. 12 to place a proposed 0.15% countywide transportation sales and use tax on the Nov. 4, 2025 coordinated election ballot.
The revenue, if approved by voters, would take effect Jan. 1, 2026, run for 15 years and is intended to fund road, bridge and other transportation improvements limited to the county’s unincorporated system. County staff estimate the measure would generate about $15 million a year on average; the resolution includes the higher statutory first-year estimate of $17,400,000.
The ballot measure and accompanying transportation master plan — Larimer on the Move — were the product of multi-year planning and public outreach, county staff said.
