The Alamosa City Council approved appointments to two advisory boards Tuesday after in-person interviews and a council ballot process.
Council moved Aaron Miltenberger from the at-large seat to the property-owner seat on the Main Street Advisory Committee and then voted by ballot to appoint Kaylee Romero as the at-large Main Street representative. A separate ballot for the Recreation Advisory Board resulted in the appointment of Mark Buck to the regular representative seat. Councilor Jamie Dominguez abstained from one of the ballots; council later approved the slate and the motion to confirm the appointments carried unanimously.
City clerk staff supervised the ballot process and staff asked councilors to sign and submit ballots for Main Street nominations. After the appointments were announced, council made a formal motion to approve the two successful appointees; the motion carried unanimously.
