The applicant told the board the family is from the neighborhood and plans to redevelop the vacant suite, sell produce and other items, and operate weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends until 11 p.m. The applicant also confirmed the proposed store would sell alcohol and tobacco.
“We're actually a part of that community. My parents live there. I've lived there,” the Applicant said, arguing the owners would reinvest in the area.
