Aug. 7, 2025 — The Agoura Hills Planning Commission voted 5-0 Thursday to approve a suite of permits and a variance allowing construction of a two‑story single‑family house, a detached garage/pool house and associated site work in the Palo Camacho Ranch tract in Old Agoura.
The commission approved a conditional use permit (CUP20240030), site plan and architectural review (SPR20240049), an oak tree permit (OAK20240106), a variance (VAR20240004) reducing the required 50‑foot front setback to 23 feet 6 inches, and adopted an addendum to the final environmental impact report (FEIR) for the Palo Camacho Ranch tract. Vice Chair Reinhart made the motion; Commissioner Stein seconded. The roll call vote was Aye — Plattzer, Sharon, Stein, Reinhart and Chair Roth (5‑0).
Staff and the applicant said the project is intended to minimize disturbance to a drainageway, an on‑site oak tree stand and Palomino/Palo Camacho Creek by concentrating structures toward Chesebro Road, a private drive.
