Commission approves several building permits, tables others for inspector review

Approved permits included a remodeling permit for a residence (James Silverado) to replace windows, siding and interior work; building permits for two 24,000‑bushel grain bins (36 feet high) for Chris Wagner’s parcel; and an AT&T Mobility permit to replace antenna/equipment on an existing tower. Staff confirmed setbacks and site conditions for the grain bins and noted the minor‑road setback of 100 feet met county requirements.
Several other permit applications arrived late in the packet and were tabled to allow the county building inspector (Josh) time to review setbacks, materials and site conditions. Commissioners said the county website and packet deadlines require applicants to submit in time for adequate staff review; items submitted the prior evening did not allow staff to complete their normal inspections or site recommendations.
The board instructed staff to evaluate the tabled permits and return them to the next meeting with the building inspector's recommendations.
