Farhan, a U.N. spokesperson, said a first U.N. interagency mission visited Sweida governorate, including Sweida city and districts of Shaba and Salqad. The team met local community representatives and partners, visited displacement sites and reception centers, and delivered medical supplies and flour.
The spokesperson said the mission also "delivered 4 tankers carrying more than a 120,000 liters of fuel to Sweida governorate." The teams conducted assessments of U.N. assistance needs and coordinated with local partners on relief efforts.
Farhan did not announce a new program or funding amount beyond the delivered supplies and the fuel tankers; the briefing presented the mission as an initial assessment and delivery effort.
