Board approves bulk action items; selects MASB delegates and authorizes limited personnel-file review

The motion (moved by Trustee D'Ambrosio and supported by Trustee Berry) named Trustee Berry, Trustee D'Ambrosio, Trustee Petlichkoff and Trustee Mozip as delegates and Trustee Zahard, Trustee Jaffney and Trustee Watts as alternates. The motion carried unanimously.
On item 20 (a separate request to provide the board with evaluations of 10 staff members), a motion to postpone was made and carried by roll call; the transcript records no review of those evaluations at this meeting.
On item 21 the board voted to permit board members to review the personnel file of a staff member whose identity is known to the board. The motion was moved by Trustee Berry and supported by Trustee Czar. A roll call recorded the following votes: Yes — Trustee Eljamie, Trustee D'Ambrosio, Trustee Zahari, Trustee Berry, Trustee Mozip; No — Trustee Petlichkoff. The motion carried. The administration advised the board the file would be available for 30 days and access would be coordinated through Human Resources.
Other action-item outcomes (approved as part of the omnibus motion) were summarized by the superintendent and staff and included multiple contract awards, change orders, personnel appointments (assistant principal appointments at Edsel Ford High School and appointment of an executive director of student achievement), donations, and financial and audit items.
