The council also approved a quote from Eastern Iowa Excavating for concrete manhole and storm‑sewer upgrades on Buchanan Street SW (identified in the meeting as “resolution number 81-25”). Staff said a preconstruction meeting is expected in August and the work should occur later this year. Council Member Gail moved approval; Council Member Delaney seconded; the vote was unanimous.
