The Hendersonville General Committee voted to forward Resolution 2025-25 to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen recommending approval of the amended Mansker Creek final development plan for property at 1220 Center Point Road.
Mayor Jamie Cleary and planning staff explained the item would complete the Mansker Farms neighborhood and make the development feasible by pulling proposed buildings away from Mansker Creek and out of the floodway. Jay Ritterbeck described the change as repositioning buildings "closer to Main, and get them out of the flood zone, and make it a more feasible... so it could be a feasible development." He said the amendment does not specify exact buildings or tenants but is intended to create a marketable configuration that could be sold or parceled.
Aldermen expressed general support for the revised plan. Alderman Karen Dixon moved that the committee forward the resolution to BOMA with a positive recommendation; the motion was seconded and approved.
The amendment would finalize a plan for the portion of Mansker Farms adjacent to Gallatin Road and Center Point Road and, according to staff, resolves questions about earlier plans that placed buildings near the creek and in the floodway. The resolution now goes to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for final action.
