Abby, a city staff member who presented the item, told council the request covers labor (including overtime), disposal and vegetative waste removal, contracted services and infrastructure repairs tied directly to the storms. “We are looking to do a special emergency appropriation for $5,000,000 for costs solely related to these storms,” Abby said. She said the city is coding costs by storm so spending can be tracked and that any unused portion will be canceled by the December meeting.
