Evansville schedules heat-pump workshops, contractor summit and EV equipment field day this fall

Events and dates announced: - Heat-pump informational community session: Sept. 19, 12:30–2 p.m., Central Library (Browning Room). The session is intended as a public educational event explaining heat-pump HVAC systems and potential energy savings. - Contractor summit: Oct. 2 (weekday), at McCollum; organized by Indiana University’s cohort provider Slipstream and IU, with breakfast and lunch; RSVP required. - EV equipment field day: Sept. 25, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., Westman Park; targeted to city and county agencies, schools, libraries and property managers; registration required at least one week prior because lunch is provided by sponsor Hop Equipment.
Norvell said the collaborative has an intern, Lucy Swinson, who worked through the summer and will return after Labor Day to continue support for the heat-pump cohort. She also described a July heat-pump engagement session that was well attended and said the group plans additional community sessions in September and November.
