The Uintah County Commission approved an amended road maintenance agreement for Trestle Wood Cove after the city requested one wording change.
County staff explained the previous agreement described the division of maintenance responsibility between city and county as “the canal”; the city removed that language and replaced it with a boundary-based approach: whichever parcel is inside the city limits will be the city’s responsibility and whichever is in the county will be the county’s responsibility. County staff said this change anticipates potential annexation and recommended the commission sign the updated agreement. A motion to approve the amendment passed by voice vote.
The amendment clarifies maintenance responsibility as municipal boundaries change.
