Commissioners agree trees and stumps at 205–207 N. Cassevier to be handled during lot clearing

Maintenance staff and commissioners discussed trees and stump removal on county property at 205 and 207 North Cassevier. The board decided that stumps on the street side of the sidewalk should be addressed during planned lot clearing or construction and approved a motion to proceed accordingly.
Chris Potter, the county maintenance manager, reported to the Wagoner County Board on Aug. 4 that he had marked three trees on the property line at 205 and 207 North Cassevier and that additional stumps on the street side of the sidewalk appear to fall under city responsibility.
"I went over there last week and marked the 3 trees that are on the property line," Potter said, and he told the board the city had cut trees earlier when the county had a plumbing problem at the North Annex. Potter and the board discussed that fully removing the trees could expose root problems and that trimming or grinding stumps during lot clearing would likely be the appropriate course.
Commissioner James moved to proceed with handling the stumps and tree trimming during property clearing and construction; Commissioner Tim seconded. On roll call the board recorded: Commissioner Stamps — Aye; Commissioner Kelly — Aye; Commissioner Haney — Aye. The motion carried.
