Applicant representative Jim (speaking for the landowner) said the owner understands he must complete infrastructure work, including engineering for water and a pump near the Morrison Street tank to increase pressure in that part of the system. "He's going to be improving the water lines going up there to Morrison Street," Jim said; later Jim clarified the work involves a pump to increase pressure near the Morrison Street tank.
Rosalie confirmed the area is served by a 6-inch water line in the vicinity and said there is an 8-inch sewer line on the applicant's side. Commissioners raised questions about gallons-per-minute capacity and whether the fire department can service the development; staff said those details will be determined as engineering and the pump project proceed.
The motion to approve the sketch plat passed with one no vote from Commissioner Nollmer. The approval was for the sketch plat only; final plat/subdivision approval will require engineering, infrastructure improvements, and coordination with the water department and fire officials.
