Resident praises new Interborough district website; administration outlines back‑to‑school communications and HACC help

The board read a letter from a resident praising the Interborough School District’s redesigned website and administrators outlined back‑to‑school communications and technical resources for parents on Aug. 20.

The correspondence, from Marci Evans of 111 Leon Avenue in Norwood, commended the work of the district’s technology staff and administrators and said the new site makes it easy to access each school and highlights students’ activities. The letter closed with thanks to board members, administrators, teachers and staff for educational opportunities provided in the 2025–26 school year.

Administrator Ms. Riley told the board the website is intended to serve as a hub for parents and staff and that it remains a work in progress as the district adds and organizes content. She said all parents and guardians registered for the 2025–26 school year will receive a back‑to‑school S'more email from their child’s school on Friday, Aug. 22, at approximately 3 p.m. She added that the Home Access Center (HAC or HACC) will be accessible to parents after 3 p.m. on Friday and provided navigation steps to find HACC login information: visit the district website, select Additional Resources at the top right, choose Parent Resources, then Technology, and follow the link for home access center codes. Ms. Riley advised parents who remain unable to access HACC to contact their child’s school secretary for assistance.

Why it matters: A functional, up‑to‑date website and prompt back‑to‑school communications help families prepare for the start of the school year and ensure access to student information systems.

The board thanked district staff and encouraged parents and guardians to check the website for updates. Ms. Riley said staff return on Monday and students start the Tuesday after Labor Day.
