The Bethel Park Borough Council on Sept. 8 accepted the resignation of Steven Reagan as chairman of the zoning hearing board and appointed Michael Gray to the board and Hannah Durza as an alternate.
Councilmember Consomagno moved to accept Reagan’s resignation; Councilmember Jenkins seconded and the motion passed by roll call, 7-0. Consomagno then moved to appoint Michael Gray to the zoning hearing board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2029. That motion was seconded by Councilmember Janicek and carried 7-0.
Council later moved to appoint Hannah Durza as an alternate to the zoning hearing board with a term to expire Dec. 31, 2028. Councilmember Consomagno moved the appointment, Councilmember Jenkins seconded, and the motion passed by roll call, 7-0.
Councilmember Janicek offered a brief, personal endorsement of Durza during discussion, noting a family connection and expressing his support. The council recorded no dissenting votes on the appointments. Administrative follow-up tasks recorded in the meeting minutes include arranging oaths and updating the board roster.
