The council thanked Council member Milke for “spearheading this” effort during the meeting. No formal membership list or implementation timeline was included in the council discussion; the vote establishes the administrative resolution that will allow the council and staff to convene the task force and begin work.
The task force is framed as a county-level advisory body to study and advise on the needs of older residents across categories of housing, transportation, meals and the newly added category of health care. Council and staff attendees said the group will be called together by county staff following the resolution’s adoption.
