Local advocates urge faster transfer of Munger sewer line so residents with high nitrates can connect
Summary
Protect Our Water Jackson Hole urged the county to complete the transfer of the Munger sewer line to allow households with high nitrate levels to connect. The group said delays are prolonging water-quality harms for residents who want to tie into the line.

At the start of the Aug. 25 meeting, Jen Evans, advocacy director for Protect Our Water Jackson Hole, used the public-comment period to urge the county to speed completion of the Munger sewer-line transfer so residents with high nitrates in their drinking water can connect.
"We have all been on the same page for a while that we would like this transfer to happen," Evans said, adding that as months pass there are community members "with high nitrates in their drinking water" who want to connect but cannot until the transfer is complete. She said Protect Our Water Jackson Hole recognizes county efforts but asked the commission to keep the transfer a priority.
No formal action was taken during public comment. Commissioners acknowledged the comment and proceeded with the agenda items.
