Forsyth County Chief Information Officer Gary Coutts briefed commissioners on Aug. 25 about a proposed one‑year renewal of a cloud-based endpoint-management software subscription with Worldwide Technology LLC.
Coutts said the county recently completed a three‑year renewal and is seeking only a single‑year renewal now because a pending Microsoft enterprise agreement that becomes effective in March could displace the need for the standalone product. He said the county solicited bids and recommended the lowest bidder.
Commissioners asked no substantive questions during the briefing.
