The board voted to ratify negotiated agreements with district employee groups for the 2025–26 school year and approved a slate of personnel appointments presented on the agenda.
During discussion of negotiations, district staff said there were few changes this year and that the district reduced reliance on federal COVID-era ESSER funds, which affected budgeting decisions. The district reported that steps and raises were part of the agreements in some form, but that the attendance stipend for all three employee groups was frozen for the year; the superintendent and trustees described the freeze as an agreed‑upon, temporary measure.
The board moved and approved ratification motions (transcript records affirmative roll‑call votes). Trustees then approved multiple personnel items listed on the agenda, including paraprofessional and special‑education appointments, a school nurse and other hires; several hires were recorded as pending certification where noted. The personnel list included names provided in the agenda and was approved by motion and second.
No contract language beyond what appeared in the agenda was altered at the meeting; the board authorized ratification and directed human resources to continue normal hiring and certification follow up.
