County appoints five members to Summit County Public Arts Board

Summit County on Wednesday consented to the county manager’s recommendations and appointed five members to the Summit County Public Arts Board to serve terms expiring July 31, 2028.
County manager staff said there were six applicants for five openings and that two applicants sought reappointment. After interviews, the manager recommended five individuals; the council gave advice and consent to the appointments by motion. The individuals the manager announced for appointment were Robert Devaney, Glen Culler and Marianne (Marion/Marianne) Zanillo; staff also reappointed Heather Staminov and Georgia Todd to full terms, the manager said.
Councilmember Chris moved to confirm the appointments; Roger seconded and the motion passed with no recorded opposition.
Staff noted the selection was difficult because all applicants were strong candidates and that appointees will serve through July 31, 2028. The board will begin its work under the manager’s timetable.
