Friends of Memorial Park to pursue pond-lighting grant; board asked to approve project contingent on full funding

A park official suggested consulting the county attorney for recommended wording for any agreement that would govern who oversees the project and ensure that money is in hand before work begins.
The park board indicated it would provide the necessary confirmation that the lighting project is an approved project for grant-application purposes and asked the Friends to return with precise dollar figures for the application. The Friends also said they may seek poll (pole) sponsors and other fundraising partners to meet their target.
