Wayne City Council approves routine appointments, licenses and municipal business

The Wayne City Council on Aug. 4 voted unanimously on a package of routine items including council agenda and minutes approvals, multiple reappointments to boards and commissions, a materials recovery facility license, the quarterly investment report and several municipal resolutions.

Council opened the meeting by approving the agenda and the July 15 regular meeting minutes. The council reappointed seven residents to local boards: Dolores Scribe, Nancy Greiser, Bill Freeze Man, Tiffany Walker (to the Downtown Development Authority), Lynn Scott, Albert Dimitio and Andrew Raisinon. Council also received and filed the investment report for the quarter ending June 30, 2025.

The council approved a 2025 materials recovery facility license for Red Line Auto Parts at 36597 Annapolis and approved a request to place teal ribbons on trees along Wayne Road and Michigan Avenue in September to mark ovarian cancer awareness month. The consent calendar also included acceptance of the downtown development authority meeting minutes from May 21, 2025.

All motions on these routine items carried without recorded opposition.
