The mineral severance tax item was introduced by Mister Hodges. "This gives the county the ability to raise the mineral severance tax," Hodges said. The motion to adopt the measure was moved by Commissioner Patey and seconded by Commissioner Buckner; the commission approved the measure by voice vote with no recorded roll call.
